Cedric, from Geneva, is a passionate and experienced photographer. His love of photography began in the 1980s when he acquired his first analogue camera. He switched to digital in the 2000's.

In 1987, he made his first epic trip to the Sahara. This experience was a real turning point that reinforced his love of photography and travel. He went on to live abroad for more than twenty years and travelled to many countries, eager to find new inspirations and captivating stories to tell through his images.

What sets Cedric's photography apart is his exceptional ability to capture the beauty and essence of his subjects with uncommon sensitivity. Whether capturing moments of everyday life, architectural structures, portraits of people or animals, he excels in the art of freezing the moment. His eclectic portfolio highlights his remarkable work with Buddhist temples in Cambodia, the majestic migration of zebras in Kenya and the adorable presence of king penguins in Antarctica.

He has won numerous national and international photography awards, a testament to the exceptional quality of his work. His work has been exhibited in galleries in Australia, Colombia and Switzerland, attracting the attention of art lovers and photography enthusiasts the world over. In 2022, Cedric moved to Le Bouveret and was honoured to be invited to join the Collectif Imago. This collective brings together a community of Valais photographers, allowing Cedric to share his passion and expertise with his peers.

L'histoire d'un photographe

Cedric, originaire de Genève, est un photographe passionné et expérimenté. Son amour pour la photographie a commencé dans les années 1980 lorsqu'il a acquis son premier appareil photo analogique. Il passe au numérique dans les années 2000.

En 1987, un premier voyage épique au Sahara. Cette expérience est un véritable tournant qui renforce son amour pour la photographie et les voyages. Par la suite, il vit pendant plus de vingt ans à l’étranger et parcours de nombreux pays, avide de nouvelles inspirations et d'histoires captivantes à raconter à travers ses images.

La particularité de la photographie de Cedric réside dans sa capacité exceptionnelle à saisir la beauté et l'essence de ses sujets avec une sensibilité hors du commun. Que ce soit en capturant des moments de la vie quotidienne, des structures architecturales, des portraits de personnes ou d'animaux, il excelle dans l'art de figer l'instant. Son portfolio éclectique met en avant son travail remarquable avec les temples bouddhistes au Cambodge, la majestueuse migration des zèbres au Kenya et la présence adorable des manchots royaux en Antarctique.

Il remporte de nombreux prix de photographie, tant au niveau national qu'international, ce qui témoigne de la qualité exceptionnelle de son travail. Ses œuvres exposées dans des galeries en Australie, en Colombie et en Suisse, attirant ainsi l'attention des amateurs d'art et des passionnés de photographie du monde entier. En 2022, Cedric s’installe au Bouveret et a l'honneur d'être invité à rejoindre le Collectif Imago. Ce collectif rassemble une communauté de photographes valaisans, permettant ainsi à Cedric de partager sa passion et son expertise avec ses pairs.
