Carnival of Venice

Costumes & Creativity

During the Carnival of Venice, the city transforms into a living stage, where history, art, and imagination come together. For this gallery, I followed a French and German group of friends who traveled to Venice for the occasion — bringing with them elaborate costumes and handcrafted masks they had created especially for the event.

Wandering through the narrow streets and across the piazzas, they became part of the city’s timeless theatre, stopping often for photographs as curious onlookers admired their work. Each costume told its own story, blending tradition with personal flair, adding a unique touch to the magic of Carnival.

Venice during Carnival is an experience like no other — a place where reality feels suspended, and for a few days, everyone can step into another world.
