the giants saga

Back in 2017, Geneva hosted “La saga des Géants” by the renowned French street-theatre company Royal de Luxe. From September 29 to October 1, the city became an open-air stage for this free, larger-than-life spectacle.


Two towering puppets — the Grandmother and the Little Giantess — strolled through Geneva’s streets, acting out their daily story to the delight of thousands of spectators. They were brought to life by a team of 80 “Lilliputians,” whose synchronized movements made the giants breathe, blink, and walk as if they were real.


For three days, the city pulsed with magic, wonder, and the sound of cheering crowds — an unforgettable moment in Geneva’s cultural history.
