Greenland's population is concentrated mainly on the southwest coast and 75% of the country is covered by the only permanent ice sheet outside of Antarctica. With a population of 56000 it is the least densely populated region in the world. About a third of the population lives in Nuuk, the capital and largest city.

The rugged landscape here is made of dramatic fjords, imposing glaciers, towering mountains and verdant valley. , spectacular, unspoiled wonders await at every turn.

Disko Bay is a wide southeastern inlet of Baffin Bay known for the dynamic ice sculpture gallery located just outside of this North Greenland town of Ilulissat. With millions of icebergs waiting to break free of the fjord in which they calved, small chunks of ice fill every nook and cranny between the gargantuan icy skyscrapers that dwarf even the largest ships.
