Vesteralen - 2024

"ingunn" storm

Roadtrip in the Vesterålen archipelago in Nordland county, Norway. The archipelago is located north of Lofoten and is the northernmost part of Nordland county.

I come back with a limited amount of photos as storm Ingunn slammed into Norway with hurricane-force winds. The storm was the most powerful Norway has seen in decades, with sustained winds equivalent to those from a Category 1 hurricane. Roads and bridges have been closed for a while and more than 13000 people were left without electricity and telecommunications for more than 15 hours.
